We have a chow/shephard mix that snaps at our small dog, we are getting a crate and training collar for her?

We will use crate for sleeping for big dog and the collar to remind her to stay away from small dog. Any thoughts or other suggestions. Giving up either dog is NOT an option.

Do a little research , the Chow bread is not known for being too bright. They need constant attention. You have a problem one smart breed shephard I hope the aggressiveness of the shephard can be controlled.

What's a good way to paper train a small dog ?

Im about to be the new owner of a chihuahua and I just wondered if anyone had any good suggestions about paper training.

What I did for my dog ( a miniature pinscher ) was to place food near the paper so that he went close to it. But don't pu the food on it otherwise it'll associate the paper as its eating place, and dogs won't soil where their food is. Once he got used to it I would coax him onto it. After that he would start to go near it on his own. Finally when he would start to sniff around I would grab him and put him on the paper. After a couple of tries he got the picture! Then finally we got him to go outside, but that's a WHOLE other story!!!
