Can I use Baby Shampoo to wash a 6 day old puppy?

I'm taking care of 3 puppies that are 6 days old. the puppies mother died. The puppies smell like pee real bad. I do wipe them down after every feeding but they are still peeing in there box. Can I use baby shampoo and warm water to wipe them down

No human shampoo, an animals skin ph is different from a regular humans, head to the store and get some shampoo for dogs.
But since these are puppies go to the pet store and get some waterless shampoo, much safer and easier for you.
Warm water is fine as is but if it bugs you that much I would go with waterless shampoo

Can you keep a puppy while having a job?

My wife and I just bought a house in Northern NJ and we would love a puppy to go with it. But we'll both be working 40-45 minutes from home, and we won't be able to come home for lunch -- can we leave a pup in its crate for 9 or 10 hours? This seems cruel but how else do people who work raise pets?

Puppy day care... $$$!

many dogs can stay in a crate for 9 or 10 hours(bedtime for example), but never a puppy. they just can't hold it that long.
If you are determined to get a dog, consider an adult. If you must have a puppy, ask a neighbor or friend, or a trustworthy neighborhood teen to come by twice or so to let her out, walk her.
I work and go to school full time. And i have 5 dogs, one of which is a 5 week old rescue puppy. Thankfully, i work and go to school blocks from my home, and can come home during my half hour breaks between classes. But, i am busy, and don't really have a social life. Don't get me wrong, i don't mind, but i am just saying it's a lot of work. You might be better off with an adult dog.
Crates are not cruel, they are life saving, house saving, cat and bunny saving devices! Mine go there on their own, and love it. As long as your dog gets a long walk in the am(like 45 min or more), and another really long walk/dogpark/something in the afternoon, you will be fine. The am walk is the most important, as your dog will be more inclined to sleep during the day if they are tired from a nice long walk.
also, if you have a fenced in yard, why not consider looking for a dog who has good house manners and doesn't need a crate, and install a doggy door.
