How would i get started if i want a petsitting or babysitting job? (I'm 13)?

I'm 13, and i want to petsit or babysit this summer. I love animals and kids, and i have experience with both. I used to have a cat, a dog, a hamster, and a lizard. I also have a younger brother and i help watch over kids at my church. I really needsome money, but i'm not sure where to start. Any other job suggestions are welcome! Thanx!!!

Since you help babysit at church you can put the word out that your services are now available outside of the church..

Besides telling people, you should make up a cute but informative flyer advertising your services.

It should say something like :

Attention all parents, Summer Vacation is not just for the kids anymore!

When you want to go out for a little while to forget about life for awhile and you worry about who will stay at home with your little Susie Q call on me!

I am a reliable, trustworthy, experienced and fun babysitter.

Have yourself a stress free night on the town knowing that the most reliable babysitter in all of _________(enter your city/town name here) is at home with your child!

Mix it up a little bit, add or delete as you see fit..

As for petsitting go for dog walking and dog playing.

Most don't want to let a 13 yo in their home while they are away for the weekend to watch after their home. God forbid something bad happened they would get creamed by the law and insurance company for letting you in their home all alone.

So, doggy walking is the best route for you.

A flyer that advertises your services to walk a dog is needed.

Say something like

Attention all doggy parents:

Are you working late? Going away for the night? Worried about who is there to walk and play with your doggy?

Well fear no more! I am here to help you..

I will walk and play with your dog.

I have experience and I am reliable but most importantly I love all animals!

All you need to do is think up a name for your new "company".

Like "Pet Pals Inc." or "Doggy Day Care" or "Sarah's Superb Pet Sitting Services"

I am looking for a local babysitting/petsitting job, any ideas?

I am a 15 year old high school student (10th grade) so therefore I attend school Monday-Friday 7AM to 4PM. I am looking for a local babysitting or petsitting job. Any ideas of where I can go to find such jobs?

Look on Craigslist but make sure you make arrangements with your parents to come with you and meet them.

You can also just have your parents ask their friends. Your friends might also know some people as well.
