Can a wild mouse or rat bite you when your asleep.?

I,ve had a problem with mice and I know that they,re rats in the building and I,ve tried everything to get rid of them but I can still smell them and I,ve also seen dropping's though not recently though the smell is still there and I can hear things at night I,ve had a problem with mice previously.
The problem is that I woke up bleeding from my left arm and it looks like something has sunken it,s teeth in me.is this my imagination.
I have a phobia of wild mice and rats it,s stems from childhood seeing a boy in the cemetery have a mouse hanging from the end of his finger,he was screaming I think he tried to pick it up.
though I,m not afraid and can hold coloured mice and rats which are pets.
please help as this is affecting my sleep,health and work.
unable to have a cat as I live in accommodation which does,nt allow pets and it would be cruel to have a pet when I,m working most of the day.

I can't imagine a rat biting you and you slept through it. I don't think mice are that aggressive. Then if you even think you were bitten by a rodent did you seek medical attention? How do you live in a rat infested building with a phobia? Rats in the building but the landlord doesn't allow pets? OOOKKKKAAAYYY!!!

I forgot about fleas, but did think of pee and allergies. I have a cat.
