Pet Smart or Petco Training/School for Dogs?

Just wondering if anyone has taken classes at Pet Smart or Petco?
I just got a 3 year old doberman. Its no longer a puppy and so far has only learned to sit and stay. I want to teach it more tricks and he still needs to learn potty training since he peed in the house a couple times already.

Are the classes at Pet Smart / Petco worth it?
Currently they are $109 for 8 classes, once a week.

I would suggest a better bet is getting word of mouth from friends with dogs who have used locally based trainers. When it comes to dog training, I would trust only a first hand opinion of any program.
One session with the wrong class on the wrong day and you can have real issues. At the very least ask if you can sit in on the class you are interested in for a few minutes and see if you get a good vibe from the instructor. Ask yourself; is it a safe, well managed environment for dogs that may not be fully socialized?

does petco do dog training?

Yes they do. My dog went through basic obedience there. We had a wonderful trainer (I chose them over petsmart because the people at petsmart atleast here just weren't very professional) Sasha loved her trainer! (And she still remembers Sasha. We were in Petco on Sashas Birthday and we saw her teacher and oh Sasha was so happy that made her day)
