What is the standard rate for House & Pet sitting?

General things that would be required are looking after pets, general housekeeping, having to stay at the house and possible travel further to work etc….what do people pay for house sitters

I've been a pet-sitter for 5 years. I usually charge $15 per day but I'm always open to negotiations. especially in these hard times. and my clients only pay for what I do with the animals. Watering flowers, house duties, bringing in the mail/newspaper is all free. Except for my aunt. She pays me to tend her flowers because its such a project. And she had a vegetable garden this year too.

What do you think of my prices ?
Dog - $10.00 for a large dog, $7.50 for a medium dog and $5.00 for a small dog. (No Chows or Pitts)
Cat - $5.00
Bird - $5.00 for a large bird, $2.50 for a small bird
Fish - $3.00 for each aquarium
Turtle - $3.00
Hermit Crab - $2.50
Sugar Glider - $7.00
Chinchilla - $5.00

Rabbit - $4.00
Guinea Pig - $3.00

Horse - $25.00
Cow - $15.00
Goat - $10.00
Sheep $10.00
Chickens - $3.00
Ducks - $3.00

HMMMMM... i think they are pretty good! But I wouldn't pay someone $10 to watch my lab mix (a large dog) she is very sweet and needs hardly no attention! She needs to be let out into our fenced in yard at least three times a day and a cup of food in the morning and night! AND THAT IS ALL SHE NEEDS! I think you charge depending on how much care the animal needs! Some large dogs don't need as much work as a small dog might need, so I don't think your prices are not neccessarly accurate and fair? I think you should say your prices depend on the animal and its needs! BUT back to your question i think your prices are good!
