What's better for hiking and out door fun- Point Reyes OR Carmel?

And taking your dog... and also, possibly spending the night in a pet friendly lodge or cottage?

I'm not that familiar with Point Reyes, but Carmel is VERY dog friendly. Many stores will let you bring your dogs inside, especially the dog boutiques. And there are a couple restaurants that have outdoor seating for people with dogs and a dog menu. Forge in the Forest is a great restaurant that we used to take our dog to. I've never stayed at a hotel there but I'm pretty sure there would be dog-friendly hotels. Nearby Pacific Grove has some nice walking paths along the beach that you can bring your dog to, like Asilomar beach.

Dog friendly lodging wildwood, NJ? or recommended websites for vacationing with pets?

my bf and i want to bring our dog on vacation to wildwood, NJ (i go there every summer but we just got the dog) so i was wondering if anyone knew any hotel/motel in wildwood/wildwood crest or cape may??? i tried looking online but only found one in north wildwood and its far away from the action, so hotel names or even a specific website for pet friendly hotels would be great...

I love Wildwood Crest sooo much! We stay at the Commander By the Sea, however it's not pet-friendly. These hotels/motels: Surf 16 Motel, New England Motel, Carriage Stop Motel, and Sahara Motel are pet friendly.
