Considering An Irish Vacation? Cottages To Rent In Ireland Are the Ideal Solution

Do you love to travel? Or you just feel romantic and plan to spend some time off with your loved one like it is your honeymoon? One of the most beautiful places to explore is Ireland. You could either take a trip into the countryside and enjoy Ireland's striking landscape with your partner, or take a stroll on one of Ireland's beautiful beaches.

If you have a romantic idea in mind, of spending that time in a place where cottages are picture-perfect complete with thatched roof and whitewashed walls, serenely situated along the greenery of the hillside, then indeed, it is an image reflective of a cottage in Ireland.

So when you're looking for something different to the clich? hotel check-ins, and in the mood for an adventure, the cottages to rent in Ireland will complete your stay in the beautiful country, taking into account what, where and who you are with when you travel. There are many romantic holiday cottages to rent in Ireland located in Connemara.

First, you need to consider the ambiance of the place that you want to stay in. Is it privacy that you are looking for with homey atmosphere? It may sound expensive, but in reality, you are actually saving a lot when you rent a cottage than renting a room in a hotel.

In addition, you have the choice of preparing your own home-cooked meals in your own kitchen in what Ireland offers as self catering cottages. These cottages are described as a holiday home where all the equipment and tools are provided but you have to purchase the food yourself and cook it. This is just perfect for a group when the members have a variety of food preferences.

If you have brought little children with you, a self catering cottage would definitely help since some kids are very picky with their food.

If you and your family are planning to go on a trip, Ireland offers self catering holidays that are a popular option because they are roomy, and offer lodgings that are a lot less cheap than bed and breakfasts or apartments. Furthermore, huge savings are considered when making one's own meals.

Pets are also one of the things that have to be taken into account. Ireland also offers pet-friendly cottages, thus, it is just another home away from home with your favourite pet.

Families with babies are also another consideration when travelling, and fortunately, the cottages to rent in Ireland have Baby-friendly cottages scattered all over the country. Babies are highly susceptible to hazards and require special needs on every travel. To make certain that you are safe with the knowledge that your baby has the essentials already provided, the cottages are packed with high chairs, microwave and even stair gates.

Indeed, Ireland has a lot to offer...in way of its cottages with an added bonus of actually spending a day home as one of the "regular" Irish.

Stray Cats, Can they become social?

We are staying at a timeshare in Wisconsin, by our cottage there are atleast 5 stray cats. They are very hungry and we are feeding them. We caught one stray and it went ballistic starting jumping around on everything. What do you believe is best to do, it has since calmed down but is still not person friendly and once in the house won't eat. Will the cat become social eventually? Is it wise to take it as our own pet because we before did have to stray's that claimed us as their own.

what do you think? Take it home or let it go?

zero

Yes, it is possible for a stray cat to become social. It's also possible, however, that he or she may never really become acclimated to the home environment. If you are willing to put some time and effort into trying to rehabilitate this cat to become more sociable, then I see no reason that you couldn't give him or her a good home.

On the flip side of things, you have to be prepared in case the cat doesn't become social or is very skittish after a long period of time. What will happen if the cat doesn't adjust to home life? Would you be willing to live with a skittish cat? Would it bother you if you can't pet them or if they don't want attention? Those are some things you have to think about first because the last thing anyone wants is to bring a cat home, and have it not adjust and they aren't willing to deal with a skittish cat.

What I would do though is once you get to your permanent home is confine your new addition to a single room in your home. A small bedroom would be perfect. Make sure he or she has access to fresh water, food, and a litter box. When you first get home, put the cat in their new room and just stay in the room for a little while. The cat will probably hide under the bed or somewhere it feels safe, but don't try and force him or her to come out. Just sit in the room or better yet, lay flat on your stomach so that you can see the cat under the bed (or where ever they are hiding). By doing this, you're getting the cat used to human presence and starting to get them to understand that they can feel safe in their new environment.

You can also get a laser pointer or long wand toy with feathers or something on the end and use that to play with the cat from a distance, again getting it to feel safe. When the cat is out of hiding, throw a treat towards the cat gently to see if they will eat it. Continue to do this play ritual for a little while, until they are no longer hiding when you come in the room.

Eventually work on trying to get them to come to you or eat their food in your presence. They may decide to enjoy their new interactions, or they may stick to their feral ways, but it is worth trying.
