Why has my 4 month old cat started randomly biting me?

He has been teething ever since I got him so I know what that is and I also know what his play bite is. The bite that I am asking about is different. He will walk up to me, look at me, and bite me. I work in a day care and its like a 2 year old going through the biting phase except saying "we don't bite our friends" doesn't seem to be working for the cat. Any suggestions?

when cats bite , they are saying i love you. a small peck of a bite. i got a stray cat two years ago. we don't know any history on him, but at first they were stronger bites. i would say NO bites........kisses. and kiss him. i would hold his mouth, so he actually couldn't bite me. i put my face right up to his and say NO bites...kisses...........it worked very well and gets lots of kisses *(licking) and he sneaks in a bite , but an i love you bite.
when i KNOW he is mad and looks like in attack mode, i do the NO bites again. my face to his and hold his mouth so he cannot follow thru with a damaging bite.
he is trained now....
