Factors One Should Know About His/her Web Hosting Service
Having one’s own web site is no longer a choice rather it has now became a necessity. The consumers of services and products usually use to take the business card of the owner of the web site and then flip through his/her brochure. The consumer can also read the letter of the owner in the snail mail, but by looking one’s URL can also scan these things.
In this era of computerization, globalization and liberalization business has become very competitive as well as personal and consumers want to know the trader very clearly. Through a website one can easily reach to anyone he/she wants.
One is easily reachable if he/she owes a website, no matters that it is a personal or professional website. In this tough competitive market where every competitor is having his/her website, it is very compulsory for every one who is interested in any kind of trading, to have his/her own website. He /she can either be an entrepreneur, business owner, attorney, physician, dog walker, caterer, or artist.
If anyone wants to have any kind of information about any one, then website is surely the best channel as it contains maximum required information. One can easily have all the basic information about anyone through website. So it becomes very necessary to have one’s own website. Having one’s own website also gives a complete professional look.
If anyone is interested in having its own website then he/she should have some basic knowledge about website construction. Some of them are that one should use manageable program, such as FrontPage. Colors used should be readable generally black background is not used and the fonts style should be standard. Everything should be user friendly. Contents should be good enough as well as dynamic, as good content attracts both search engines and visitors. The one who is creating his/her own website should have a goal in his/her mind that website should be created so perfectly that if a visitor visits the website once, he/she should visit daily to see what’s new happened.
Now further the tougher job begins i.e. how to choose a hosting service? If one is new in this job then he/she should be very careful and avoids making mistakes or he/she will suffer the loss of both time and money afterwards.
Following are some of important factors to be considered:
1. Cost
Money always comes first in the priority list and no one wants to waste money at any cost. So user should act very carefully while choosing the hosting service. User should look at several hosting sites before making any decision. One important thing is that user should not select the service offering the lowest price as he/she can regret later for this decision. One should choose the plan offering best service at reasonable price.
2. CUSTOMER SUPPORT.
Every user wants to get assured from the company to have support whenever required. So user should choose the company that gives surety of 24/7 hours customer support.
3. LODGING CAPACITY.
User should know about the accommodation capacity of MS Front page, CGI/Perl, MySQL and PHP hosting company can provide to his/her website. By MS Front page one can easily create his/her own website, thus can save lots of money and the time and can escape from the frustration of mastering one of the most complicated programs out there. To have a dynamic website, one should enter the data timely, and the best way to do that is to do it by own.
4. AUTORESPONDER.
User needs to think about it very carefully as he/she is going to require it a lot. The requirement of this service is directly proportional to the success. The more successful the user becomes; the more important the service becomes for him/her. One should go for a host who offers unlimited auto responders.
5. UPTIME.
One should find and go for web host that advertises 99% up time. If any host is not able to provide 99% uptime then user should not go for that hosting service.
6. SET UP FEE.
One needs to be sure and must find out specifically if there’s a set up fee, as it is not at all required to pay.
7. STORAGE SPACE AND BANDWIDTH
One should estimate his/her bandwidth in advance. In case of smaller site, 50 MB storage space, and 500 MB bandwidth is sufficient.
8. EMAIL
One should always look for unlimited emails, as they are very important.
The above all things are must for a wonderful website that will help in building a successful business.

I'm considering becoming a dog walker?
I want to walk dogs part time on weekends (since i already have a full time job 9-5) I have a general idea of how to start off my little business walking dogs, but need full details in case I'm wrong. How do I start? Where can I get a liscence and insured? How much do I charge and for how long of a walk? What restrictions should I have? Pros and Cons of having a dog walking business part time? Flyers or adds in the paper? Etc!? Please give me all the details I need to know before I start? Can I get some typr of training and where?
I live in Southern California!
Sounds like fun! Here's some info that might help you. First of all you don't need a trade business license, but you will be required to register with the state. So you'll need to find a Small Business Administration. Google it, and find what is required in your state. As for business insurance, I reccommend this company for Pet based small businesses:
Pet Sitters Associates (PSA, LLC)
As for rates, look into the competition in your area, and try to be competitive. Pretend you're shopping around for a dog walker, and ask about THEIR rates and restrictions.
As for restrictions, find what works for you. If I was running a dog walking business, I would have special rates for dogs with "special needs". Some dogs aren't all that social, or good on a leash, these dogs would need to be walked alone, and therefore, cutting down on the amount of clients you could have (therefore money you could make) on a given walk. Do not have BREED restrictions, but insist upon a meet/greet, and group walk with any new client before you commit. If you plan on walking a couple dogs at a time, make sure you have the okay of all parties involved.
Also, try planning little "outings" for special occassions. You could charge a 100.00 per dog for a trip to the nearest beach, or lake, or river. 50.00 per dog for a jaunt to the dogpark.
Form aliances with trainers in the area. Recommend them, and they'll recommend you!
Hang flyers, sure, get an add in the yellow pages, but you know what would be great!?! The INTERNET. You don't need a fancy page. Perhaps just something simple. Info, prices, insurance and license info, a way to contact you (e-mail). And after you're established, some references, and even individual "client" pages would make it FUN!
As for "training" ask some local trainers if you can "audit" their classes. Do you have a dog? Tell everyone that you're
"experienced with classes on all levels".
Most important!!! Love the dogs, not the money they bring! Questions? Feel free to e-mail me! Good Luck!
By the way, I found a helpful link in looking into this a little for you. I suggest you check it out.
