Do you need a permit to be a dog walker at sixteen?

I want to make some extra money, and I love dogs, so I thought being a dog walker would be a great way. I live in California, and Im sixteen. Would I need any sort of permit in order to be a dog walker? Also, how much would I charge the owner?

you do not need a permit ... i have been walking dogs since 2004 and i have no license or permit ... i do have doggie first aid which was a weekend course through the red cross ... to find out how much to charge, go to your local pet services section of craigslist and see what people are charging ... i would charge just a bit less because you are only 16 ... have fun :O)
