How to start a business as a dog walker?
Well, now I'm unemployed, because it is difficult to find an employer hiring a bad economy like this. I need money ... if an idea crossed my mind "what I'm paid to walk dogs for other people. "I am a lover of big dogs and I walk a few dogs in my neighbor ... bt now i need free money in my pockets. So how can I start working on creating "my dog walking business? I guess it will also be doing something right companies? But give me steps or ideas where I can be a dog walker and get paid for it. It would also require owner trust me with their dog.
You don't need permission/license to walk dogs. Once you get to a profitable level, you should look into getting licensed, bonded, and insured.
For now, concentrate on building your clientele. Reach out to those you know. Then, start advertising at the vet's office, pet salons, pet stores, inquiring local dog clubs, hang out at the dog park, etc. Basically, anywhere dog owners congregate! Actually getting them to pay you to walk their dog, is up to you. Remember, you are you trying to convince them that paying you is more cost/time efficient than they themselves walking their dog(s).
Oh, and scoop out your competition. Once you find out their prices, adjust your prices accordingly.
