How would a cat act if the other cat in the house died?

Say you had a cat that was 17 and a cat that was 6, and the cat that was 6 has grown up ever since it was a kitten with that older cat, and then one day the 17 year old cat died, how would the other cat react? Would it care? Or not?

Just curious.

I lost a father and son in one year. Son was 16 and father was 18. My Bambi-Jean would not eat for a week and she walked around the apt all day in an out of every room. She also meowed this really long meow that sounded as if she was in pain. She slept with me every night and also took on the behavior of the eldest cat that died. Your cat cannot talk but in that little heart they lost a sibling or parental figure and they are at loss. Plenty of fur stroking and treats will make them feel better but time will ease any pain.

How do you take care of a Cat Palm - house plant, this is a legit question?

I bought this gorgeous potted palm @ Costco, just wondering if theres any special care.

During the warm summer months, most palm plants are actively gowing, so they need regular watering - just enough to keep the soil consistently moist, but not soggy. This tropical plant likes humidity, thus, provide a tray with rocks underneath the pot with water just below the rocks. During winter, allow the soil to dry in between waterings. Palms prefer filtered light, low light, no direct sunlight.
