Can a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever adapt to living in a city/apt?

I am looking into adopting a Toller, but I'm unsure about how suitable a city environment is for one. I know this breed requires lots of attention, exercise, and training, which I'm prepared for. I am just wondering how well they can get along in a place like Brooklyn. Has anyone here had any experience with this? I have no backyard, but I'm close to a bunch of different parks. My apartment is 1000 square feet. I have two cats. Is this suitable?

I am all for spending at least an hour a day, every day, rigorously playing with a Toller outside, and getting a dog walker for while I'm at work. But are they cool with running around city blocks with me? I appreciate any input on the matter. Thank you!
EDIT:

I know this may sound like a stupid question, but I've read on a few web sites that Tollers do okay in city life. I have to imagine that means apt life. The reason I'm posting the question here is to get the truth from someone with experience. Thanks!

HI :D duck tolling retreivers are very rare and i actually have one of my own :) Yesss they do require alot of attention love and training but overall GREAT dogs :) as a typical puppy yes my dog did bite but its normal puppy behavior and will stop slowly after reaching 6 months :) Yes They would make excelent jogging partners indeed! they have alottt of energy. I dont really think a backyard is neccesary if your house training him to do his bowl movements indoors. My dog only uses her backyard to do her "buisnes" so no that is not a problem :) Umm i dont think cats would be a bother as far as im concerned. My dog is still considered a puppy and she actually frightened of cats but im sure your new dog will adapt very soon. They are extremely loveable have nice longish coats and make great excercising partners. Best of luck to you and your new dog its an experience you wont forget :)
I know alot of answers are saying "no" but as an actual owner of the breed nova scotia duck toling retreiver I would vote "yes" because i know my dogs excercise needs and they can be tended to with walks and parks maybe even play dates :)

Is it easy to find customers for a dog walker/pet babysitter in NYC (manhattan)?

I've thought about moving to manhattan.. or even brooklyn for a change. I just looked up rates of pet walkers and it's usually $30/hour per dog. That's at the very minimum $60k/year.

Well anyway, how hard/easy is it to provide these services and be successful? Do you know anyone that has done it?

You have to be good at what you do. Provide a good service and word of mouth will get you plenty of jobs. Put up a sign at the vet office so you can start getting new customers.
