Help finding simple and hopefully free database program?

My name is Kenya and I am an art student that was recently hired by a dog training professional to setup a database so that he could record his clients by breed and etc. He found it was to complex for him to do it himself and ask if I could help him. I am not sure where to start as when I looked up databases I was bombarded by all of the coding and such. Is there a simple free software that I could use to obtain his request. He didnt want anything fancy and he didnt want to attach to a website or anything like that.He just wants to be able to add his clients and look them up by breed, address, classes, etc easily. So I guess the ability to sort by fields.Just a way to keep records.

I just wanted to add that he doesn't want anything excel spreadsheets. He's already done spreadsheets and wants to be able separate and sort files when need be to get a clear view field by field.

Go to www.openoffice.org and download openoffice .... it's free.

When you set it up, you have the option to set the default type of file you want to use. The native openoffice type gives you more options in openoffice but saving it as an old-style excel file (.xls) makes it more universal for other computers to open.

removing lyrics from cd tracks?

Hi all,
is there any way i can remove lyrics from cd tracks? I am part of a dog training club display team and we are trying to get some music organized for this years displays. There are quite a few tracks we like and that would be suitable, except for the lyrics! I have heard of some software called "my voice". Is it any good? And is it easy to use? (i'm not really that clever with a computer!) I have thought of using karaoke music but of course the backing singers are on it, and it just sounds daft. Anyone got any ideas?

Did you think of using a peer-to-peer application like Phex to download the "Karaoke" version of the song?
