Marine Corps Dog Handler?

So I leave for boot camp in 3 weeks and after boot camp I go for job training to be an MP. I was bored just looking online today and came across the job dog handler. This really struck my interest especially since I am considering the possibility of becoming a police officer and would love the option to also be a k-9 unit. I love dogs, especially german shepherds (I have 3 myself). I saw that the requirement for the MOS is to become an MP first so is it something I can do right after becoming an MP? I was planning on swinging by my recruiters office sometime this week to ask him about this but I wanted to see if anyone knew anything first.
Details here say Privates can get the job. There just seems to be a lot of details missing that I would like to see.

You probably need to have some time in grade at a certain rank, probably around E-3 at least. You will also probably have to compete with others for slots. Edit)
I will have to disagree with the site and remind you the NMOS's require a time in grade, you may be able to go to training as a pvt, however I doubt that, you would still need a specified time in your regular MOS, you cannot enlist in an NMOS.

Marines are different: distinct not only from ordinary U.S. citizens but from the ranks of the army, navy, and air force as well. The difference begins with boot camp at Parris Island, South Carolina, where the history and future of the United States Marine Corps intersect in the training of every new recruit. In Making the Corps, Ricks follows a platoon of young men through 11 grueling week...

Dog Training Boot Camp

So, this is my situation with my friends dog.?

He has a cross breed between a pittbull and a staffordshire, he needs to get it trained at a boot camp.
However, he thought he needed a licence, which apparently is not needed because dog licence was abolished in 1987.
Now, his dog has a good temperment but the government have authority to take the dog.
What can we do? He's been REGISTERED as a staffordshire but apparently we can't licence him because his dad wasn't a member of the kennel club.

Firstly to certain question answerers if you read the question and opened your minds you would soon realise that this is a UK question.

I suggest that you have a look at the UK Kennel Club website which has a link to the UK goverments law regarding Pit Bull and Pit Bull type dogs.

With regard to licensing/registering. If both Parents are registered with the UK Kennel Club they are purebred dogs.
A cross bred dog cannot be registered as it is not a recognised breed.

I think that any Pit Bull type dog is on the "Dangerous Dogs" list. Have a look at the Kennel Club website.
