what is the dog training called so that when its finished he can go on an airplane with me?

I know that there is a dog training course that will certify my dog so that when the training is done i can take him literally any where. I am moving soon and i want to take him with me but he has to have his certificates from this specific class before they'll let him sit in a seat with me... HELP!?
and if you MUST know everything about my life yes i was told that i would benefit from getting him trained as a therapy dog for my... "condition" if you will. no need to be an ass

A Therapy dog is NOT given rights to go everywhere. Neither is a CGC dog. They are permitted to go to hospitals, hospices, nursing homes, and similar places when part of a group that does therapy work.

The ONLY type of animal that is afforded this type of freedom is a service dog. It's not a matter of running out and getting training. You must have a medical condition that necessitates the dog and the dog MUST function to assist the person.

Small dogs are permitted to travel in the cabin on some airlines and with health certificates and certain restrictions. They must be able to fit under the seat in front of you in a carrier and they must remain in this carrier at all times. The dog is NOT permitted to sit in the seat with you. There is a fee for in-cabin travel, each way.

Added: You seem to be confused on terminology. A therapy dog, again, goes into places and helps OTHERS with their "conditions" by interacting with them.

A SERVICE DOG is a dog that provides a service for his OWNER who has a medical disability. A guide dog for the blind is one example. A dog that alerts an epileptic to seizures is another. A dog that helps someone with CP or MS with stability is yet another.

If one's "condition" is a mental condition, then there are Emotional Support Animals (ESA). They are NOT SERVICE DOGS. In order to travel on a plane, the dog must be trained and you MUST have a letter from your psychologist/psychiatrist stating that the dog is in need while traveling.

Any type of service dog, ESA, or therapy animal can be asked to leave ANY public situation, or can be refused boarding onto a plane, should the dog obviously not be trained properly. Peeing, barking, growling, agitation, lack of manners, aggression - all are grounds to refuse entry to any service dog or ESA dog.

While individual air carries can have specific policies, the ACCA is the overruling law and guideline. An airline's policy cannot supercede an ACCA policy. Meaning American Airlines cannot decide to refuse ESA's. However, they can decide to be more lenient than the ACCA guidelines - so they may chose to not require documentation.
