What type of couch is best for a cat-friendly house?

We have several cats that are not declawed. We have gone through two couches in the last year and can't seem to find something they won't destroy. Not to mention, cover in fuzz. We are trying to find something that looks nice but isn't a fuzz magnet.

I disagree about the leather couch. I have a leather couch full of claw marks from the cats playing while I'm gone. They don't use it to scratch, but they dig in with their claws when they run around chasing each other.

i would say italy

I stayed there for two years as a child and almost everyday i would see cats run to my neighboor door and meow for food.

resturants and other shops would feed cats also
