Are there boarding homes for pets of military personnel?

Or anything of the sort where I can leave my pup while they have me shipped abroad? I'm going in for four years, with time to come back and spend with him, but for the most part I'll be away from home 90% of the year.

Our family adopted a lab-mix pup a few years ago and I quickly became to main caretaker (being the most active person in the family, I was able to give him in all his exercise). However, the problem is, is that my father's health has rapidly declined since then, mother is 'unavailable', and my oldest sibling is fourteen, so family can't watch him while I'm gone. My friends are either living in buildings that don't allow pets or work too many hours to watch him, so I can't ask them either. Putting him up for adoption is never going to happen, he's like a child to me and I'd never forgive myself for abandoning him. So really, I'm at a dead end here. Please help?

Boarding For Pets

When boarding your dog at Petsmart's Pets Hotel do you pay for their stay upfront or when you pick them up?

I'm going to board my dog at petsmart but I don't know if they expect payment as soon as you book their spot or after you go on your trip and come to pick them up.

It may vary by location but typically it's the same as the daycamp - when you pick up. Otherwise, they don't give you the dog if you don't pay.
