Help with Potty-Training my dog!?

So, my 2 year old Havanese is having some potty-training issues. She is pretty trained to go outside, but lately we've been having some problems. It used to be that she could go for about 4 months without an accident, but now its about a week if we're lucky. My mom tried putting bells on the door and teaching her to hit them if she needs to go out, but she was scared of those. I told her to call the trainer (it was like magic on our other problems) but it costs and she doesn't really wanna go to that. Please help!! ☮

How do you bell train your dog for potty time?

How do you teach your dog/puppy to ring a bell that I hang from the door nob when he needs to go potty?

Funny you should ask this, my friend's dog is trained this way. She has the bell on the door and every single time the dog is taken out to potty, ring the bell, every time. She put a cord on it so eventually her dog grabs the cord and rings the bell to go out. Works great for her!
