How can I train my small dog not to be aggressive towards bigger dogs?

I just adopted a stray small jack russell terrier mix - He is full grown, not yet neutered.
He gets along very well with my Chihuahua (neutered male) and with my Shih-Tzu (also a neutered male).
But whenever I take them to the dog park, he is SO afraid of dogs bigger than him that he barks/growls/ shows his teeth and looks like he is going to attack! I have only taken them to the dog park twice now because I don't want him to bite a big dog, so i need tips on training him to not be afraid.

Could it be that he had a bad experience with big dogs in the past?
Also, I have heard neutering will help him be less aggressive, is this true?

Its just s natural instinct that some dogs have. My small dog was a mutt and
was agressive towards anything-even a snowman!-( yeah i know it sounds stupid) but LISTEN!!---
Chihuahuas are more agreesive towards people then dogs-i think. Neutering like you said might help
but im no vet anyways. For me, all the dogs we had were Aggresive to only all other people besides
the ones that they recognized-. It all depends on have YOU raise the dog. And if the dog is not a puppy anymore, dont be pampering it because its cute- THERE NOT BABIES! And because they are smaller dogs, they will tend to go by you every time you sit down ( true for me) -- dont give in too much. MAybe your mix fears big dogs because of something that has happened before to him?

Aggressive Dog Training Tips

I am looking getting a German short haired pointer for hunting. Can anyone help me out with any tips please.?

I am not sure wheather or not to purchase a male or female. I have heard a few different things.
If anyone can help me out with any tips on training that would be great as I will be using this dog for hunting game.
I also have a 12 month old. As this is a sniffer dog and not aggressive, will the GSP still make a good family pet.
Cheers Brett

"Game". Gotta love that term. I'm sure the birds, deer or whatever it is you plan to grow the skins off of don't find it much of a "game". Hunting doesn't make you look manly - it just makes you look cruel.
