Discovering Luxury Dog Friendly Accommodation in Devon
Holiday time is family time and, where your dog is an important part of that unit, the search for your holiday base needs to factor in the consideration of finding dog friendly accommodation. We are unquestionably a nation of people who love dogs so perhaps you wouldn't expect the search to become a difficult one nor is it if you require something basic. For the more discerning holiday maker however, with the family pet in tow, who wants comfort and luxury, dog friendly holiday accommodation choices become considerably scarcer.
Holidays are all about location with each individual's ideal being thankfully somewhat different. However, there are some common elements many people seek and these include spectacular locations, a range of options for days out and activities and the chance to rest our head upon a pillow at the end of a day in a place we feel comfortable in. The Holsworthy area in North Devon, wonderfully close to the Cornish border, offers holiday makers all of the commonly desired needs plus luxury, dog friendly accommodation with pet friendly cottages for rent all year round.
As an added bonus for pet owners, this area which already offers so much, has the dog friendly beaches of Sandy Mouth, Summerleaze, Northcott and also the south beach area of Widemouth Bay all on the doorstep.
The area is full of wide open spaces, natural and unspoilt environments and abounds with possibilities for vacation activities such as playing golf, angling, walking, horse riding and bird watching. If being water-bound is your goal then look no further, with a wealth of options to suit all - from the complete beginner to the seasoned experienced individual. Activities such as sailing, kayaking, swimming and sea fishing trip opportunities are within close range of your dog friendly accommodation base. If relaxation and the desire to stray very little from your luxury accommodation is what you have in mind you'll be able to have this too in the setting of gorgeous, restful gardens.
It is so often the case that the priority of securing dog friendly accommodation means needing to accept second best with regard to other holiday requirements but this area allows the best of both worlds. It is good to know that dog friendly accommodation does not have to mean compromise if you discover the right place, allowing you and your dog to have just the holiday or break you are looking for.
On the hunt to discover the perfect luxury self catering in Devon? Or maybe the ideal dog friendly holiday cottages? Try Glebe House Cottages located on the edge of the most spectacular coastal scenery in the UK.

Relocating to Hobart & Surrounds - please help!?
Our little family of 4 - Mum, Dad, Daughter and little doggy are relocating to Hobart. We are worried about finding temporary Accommodation (on a budget if possible) and then finding a rental for 6 months or more! We are lost and cannot find any answers. Who & what would be the best place to go through, how hard is it to rent when you have previously lived in another state, if you don't have a source of income right away, but savings will they still consider you for a rental and the best place to stay with pets...any help would be wonderful and accepted with thanks!
Temp accommodation on a budget could be a bit difficult to find with a pet, you may have to consider a kennel for a few days.
Good rental properties are in demand as everywhere else, you could try www.realestate.com.au for rentals through the agencies, also if you can get a copy of a Saturday Mercury there are some listings direct from owners that are not usually on the web.
Hobart is a very good city with pets with many off leash areas around. The further north the suburbs generally the cheaper the rent, suburbs like Bridgewater and Gagebrook have a higher level of socioeconomic problems and are possibly not the best choices to live.
When I moved here 3 years ago after several visits and research I chose to concentrate on North Hobart, West Hobart, Mt Stuart, Glebe, New Town & Lenah Valley. Eventually settles on Nth Hobart
Good Luck
